The Dallas Invitational Columbus Day Tournament (DICDT) thanks those who joined us for our annual bowling tournament October 9-11, in Dallas (Irving), Texas.
Established 27 years ago, DICDT is a philanthropic bowling tournament and fundraising club. DICDT is affiliated with the International Gay Bowling Organization (IGBO), and the annual event hosts more than 100 local and international attendees.
The DICDT team mobilizes each year to host events which cover the costs associated with producing the annual tournament, including awards and prizes. Additionally, DICDT grants funds to local gay and lesbian service/education programs. This year's beneficiaries were Legal Hospice of Texas and Operation Kindness.
The Legal Hospice of Texas provides free legal assistance to individuals who have AIDS, HIV, or a terminal illness, and who have legal problems related to or impacted by their health whereas they cannot afford an attorney.
Operation Kindness was founded in 1976 and is the oldest and largest no-kill shelter in Texas. As a non-profit animal welfare organization, Operation Kindness cares for homeless or unwanted cats and dogs.
